Want to export to Denmark?
– compliance leads the way

Compliance and certification are essential elements to ensure a successful introduction of your products or services on the Danish market.

It is obviously crucial that you are able to document that your products live up to current laws and regulations in Denmark and the EU. Moreover, there might be specific standards and requirements for certain product groups that should also be addressed.

Finally, working with compliance, can also involve looking at additional factors such as ecolabelling and responsible supply chain management. This type of compliance may not be required by law but it may help make your products more attractive to discerning consumers.

PRODUCT SAFETY

– for products distributed in Denmark and the EU

Product safety is essential for any manufacturer and/or export/import company. If you want to distribute your products on the Danish market, Help2Comply can assist in documenting that your products live up to national legislation, EU regulations and product-specific standards. We are up-to-date on new legislation and in continuous dialogue with the relevant authorities.

An experienced partner

We have many years of experience working out the required documentation for products within these categories: Clothes and other textiles, toys, cosmetics and food contact materials. We primarily focus on the potential presence of harmful chemicals and substances used in the production. By practising this due diligence, you can avoid costly recalls, which could also damage your company's brand and image.

Increased focus on product safety

Many companies also experience being met with detailed and explicit demands and requirements from the retailers that are often stricter than those issues by the EU. This increased focus on product safety is sustained by a high consumer interest. At the same time, environmental organisations and interest groups are pressing for the prohibition of chemical substances, which are not yet covered by legislation.

ECOLABELLING

– professional help through the certification process

An ecolabel is a guarantee that a certified product or service has low or no impact on the environment and is safe for people. Let Help2Comply guide you through the entire certification process for the Nordic Swan Ecolabel, the EU Ecolabel or other approved ecolabels.

Our experience and knowledge ensure an efficient process from the initial product screening and compiling of required documentation in dialogue with suppliers to formally applying for the ecolabels. You can begin this process here by booking a free screening of a specific product.

More than signal value

Ecolabels promote social and environmental responsibility and send a strong signal about the quality of your product as well as your company values. This is much more than signal value as the labels make your products more attractive to the consumers while also improving your brand.

The Nordic Swan Ecolabel

The Nordic Swan Ecolabel is widely known by Danish and other Scandinavian consumers. 63 percent of all Danes look for the Nordic Swan Ecolabel when choosing products. Products carrying the Nordic Swan Ecolabel are thus more attractive to a large number of consumers. Several companies and public organisations are also determined to use products certified with the Nordic Swan Ecolabel.

RESPONSIBLE SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT

– increased awareness, less risk

Having full knowledge about your supply chain offers several advantages to your business. Your knowledge should not be limited to the efficiency and costs of the operations but also include the conditions under which it takes place. Consumers and business customers increasingly request products manufactured in proper social and environmental conditions.

'Proper conditions' is a relative term. Some would expect you to limit the use of water or CO2 emissions. Others would expect you to stop using unwanted chemicals. And the vast majority expect you to comply with basic human rights and not use child labour.

Being proactive is the key

Responsible supply chain management requires proactivity. Increased awareness within your company about the supply chain decreases the risk of unpleasant surprises. Help2Comply can help you map your full supply chain and identify potential high-risk areas.

How well do you know your supply chain?

You may know your suppliers quite well – but what about their suppliers and their suppliers' suppliers? Like any other chain, your supply chain is no stronger than its weakest link.

In-depth knowledge about your full supply chain is very valuable. Eventually, it is your responsibility that everything is order and that the products you sell live up to not only your own company values and code of conduct but also the general standards and ethics of society.
